  • Melanie Dawn Dahlman, 39, of Webb City, Missouri departed this life on Saturday morning, May 4, 2013 in the comfort of her home after several months of declining health.

  • Melanie Dawn Dahlman, 39, of Webb City, Missouri departed this life on Saturday morning, May 4, 2013 in the comfort of her home after several months of declining health.
    Melanie entered this life on June 26, 1973 in Joplin, Missouri.  She was raised in Webb City, Missouri and was a 1992 graduate of Webb City High School.  She had worked at the Webb City Wal-Mart, Toys-R-Us and Goodwill both located in Joplin. She resided in Carthage for six years before moving back home to Webb City.  She enjoyed writing poetry and knitting wool hats and scarves to donate to local charities.  Melanie was a member of the First Christian Church in Webb City.      
    Melanie is survived by her parents, Joyce and Ed Turner of Webb City, Missouri and David and Cindy Dahlman of Jasper, Missouri; two brothers, Jason Turner of Carl Junction, Missouri and Buzz Turner of Bedias, Texas; a sister, Ginger Keller of Carthage, Missouri; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Ola Ray of Webb City, Missouri; paternal grandmother, Anna May Turner of Carthage, Missouri; as well as a host of other family and friends.
    Funeral services for Melanie Dahlman are 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Webb City with Pastor Mike Geisert officiating.  Burial will follow in the Webb City Cemetery.  Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Jason Turner, Keagon Turner, Mason Turner, Ken Grosse, Ken Buerge and Max McReynolds.  The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.  On-line condolences may be sent to the family through our website www.thornhilldillon.com.  Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary in Joplin, Missouri.
