Maurice “Maurie” Bruner, 86, of Carthage passed away May 1, 2013 in Carthage.
Maurie was born Dec. 13, 1926 in Bloomington, Indiana to Fred Bruner and Adlin Heady Bruner. Maurie was a longtime Carthage resident. He was in the Army Air Corps and Air Force and served in WWII. Maurie was a draftsman and worked in Webb City at Cardinal Scales , Leggett and Platt Carthage and North American Rockwell Tulsa. He was a member of the Spring River R.C. Club.
Maurie was united in marriage to Kathleen Lee Nov. 20, 1955 at Central Methodist Church Webb City, she survives.
Maurie is survived by one daughter Machelle Ogle and husband Steve of Cary, North Carolina and two sons Eric Bruner and wife Staci of Lockwood, Missouri and Tom Bruner of Dallas, Texas. Six grandchildren Grace Alexandria Bruner, Avery Payton Bruner, Megan Nicole Dobbs and Husband Nate, Braden Logan Ogle, Keygan Bruner and Karson Bruner, one great grandson Eli Dobbs.
Maurie is preceded by his parents and two brothers Edmond Joseph Bruner and James Albert Bruner both of Bloomington Indiana.
