Mary Louise Myers, 63, Carthage, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013 in Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage.
Mary L. Garrison was born June 7, 1949 in Bruner, Mo.; the daughter of the late James Arthur Garrison and Deloris Perkins Garrison.
She was a Carthage High School graduate, Class of 1967, and married Harold B. Myers on July 21, 1967 in Miami, Okla; he survives. Mary was a seamstress at Big Smith Mfg. till its closing and then worked in housekeeping for Carthage Health & Rehab Center till 2010. She was a member of the Salvation Army Chapel, Carthage and was a Salvation Army volunteer.
Additional survivors include two daughters; Melissa Carpenter, Jasper, Mo., and Donna (Chris) Passalacqua, Salem, Mo.; two sons, Harold (Lisa) Myers, Carthage and David Myers, Carthage; three sisters, Rosie Clements, Carthage, Charlott Slaughter, Reeds, Mo., and Kay (Michael) Williams, Kinsley, Kan; three brothers, Rolland (Carolyn) Garrison, Stotts City, Mo., Wayne Garrison, Springfield, Mo., and Landen Garrison, Jefferson City, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 24 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Carthage. Minister Regina Shank will officiate. Memorial gifts are suggested to the Myers family to help with funeral expenses.
