  • George Allynson Waterall, 85, of Sarcoxie, Mo., departed this life on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Comfort House Hospice in McAllen, Texas after a sudden illness.

  • George Allynson Waterall, 85, of Sarcoxie, Mo., departed this life on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Comfort House Hospice in McAllen, Texas after a sudden illness.
    Mr. Waterall was born Nov. 12, 1927 in Sarcoxie, Mo. to the late Thomas Waterall and Thelma (Pelsue) Waterall. He was raised in Sarcoxie, Mo. and was a 1945 graduate of Sarcoxie High School. Later he joined the United States Army and served from 1950-1952. On March 27, 1953 he was united in marriage to Reba Love and together they shared 60 years of marriage to the day. He was a meat cutter for Reese’s, Sam Feather and Kleemans grocery stores. He and his wife also owned and operated Reba’s Dari-In of Sarcoxie, Mo. for 31 years. George was a member of the United Methodist Church of Sarcoxie, Mo. He also enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, outdoor activities and big band jams. He and Reba loved to travel and enjoyed spending the winter months in Texas.
    He is survived by his wife, Reba Waterall, one daughter, Terri Parks of Sarcoxie, Mo., two grandsons, Jacob Parks and wife, Heather, of Indiana and Zane Parks of Springfield, Mo. and one great grandson, Braylen Parks of Indiana. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan, Texas. Memorial services for Mr. Waterall were held at the United Methodist Church of Sarcoxie, Mo. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 10 a.m. with the Reverend James Yost and Reverend Tom Shouse officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church of Sarcoxie, Mo.
