  • This year, you can “take me out to the ball game!”
An annual fundraising event for St. Ann's School and Parish is coming up April 13. Every year, the event proves to be a big support to the local students as well as a fun event for the community to enjoy competing against friends and neighbors for high-dollar auction items. Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the live auction is set to begin at 8 p.m.
“There is such a huge variety of items this year,” said Heidi Gilligan, one of the organizers for the event. “There is something for everyone – there are Cardinals tickets, guns, and then there's purses and jewelery – just a great variety.”
One of the items could excite country music fans: tickets to the Aug. 2 Taylor Swift (sold out) concert in Kansas City.
Some of the other featured items on the auction list are: trips to Florida and Montana, home décor, HDTV, iPad, outdoor furniture, artwork by Andy Thomas, Larry Glaze and April Davis; bunk beds, tools, guns, purses, jewelry and much more.
Tickets are available for $25 a person, and that includes food and drink. There is a cash bar available for those 21 and up.
“With the mission of St. Ann's, besides supporting our kids, we also serve our community,” Gilligan said. “Every dollar spent at the auction goes right back into the community one way or another.”
