  • Girls soccer, track meet also postponed

  • Tuesday's slate of three games in the Bill O'Dell Baseball Tournament was washed out due to rain, but all three games will be played on Wednesday at Carl Lewton Stadum.

    Mt. Vernon and Lamar will play at 2 p.m., followed by Seneca and Carl Junction at 4:30 p.m. and Carthage and Monett at 7 p.m.

    Mt. Vernon and Lamar will play at 2 p.m., followed by Seneca and Carl Junction at 4:30 p.m. and Carthage and Monett at 7 p.m.
    Also postponed Tuesday due to weather were a home game between the Carthage girls soccer team and Republic, and a freshman and sophomore track and field meet at Neosho. Neither have been rescheduled yet.
    Carthage is ranked 9th in Class 5 in the latest Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association poll, while Monett is ranked 10th in Class 4. Mt. Vernon is ranked 9th in Class 4, and Nevada received votes in Class 4.
    Monday's results: Nevada 8, Webb City 1; Mt. Vernon 6, Monett 5; Carthage 9, Lamar 1.
    Thursday's schedule: Lamar vs Monett at 2 p.m., Nevada vs Seneca at 4:30 p.m. and Webb City vs Carl Junction at 7 p.m.
    Friday's schedule: Mt. Vernon vs Carthage at 2 p.m., Carl Junction vs Nevada at 4:30 p.m. and Seneca vs Webb City at 7 p.m.
