A few days back I heard an interview on NPR with author Ty Burr who wrote Gods Like Us. This is book explores the dynamic of a movie star’s public persona, and the there true personalities. It explains the history of the star making process and how audiences of all types have changed over time in what they want from movie stars. Though I have not read the book yet, I believe it sounds interesting. Movie stars have always been alluring to people everywhere. This book discusses the fact that many times the personas we have come to know and love, are totally put on. If you’re interested, click on the link below to the NPR interview.
