Mary Ruth Sandlin, 62, Carthage, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at her home after a sudden illness.
Mary Ruth Lett was born Oct. 18, 1950 in Neosho, Mo.; the daughter of the late Vernie E. Lett and Mildred Jackson Lett. Mary married Russ W. Sandlin on Nov. 22, 1968 in Carthage; he preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 2006. Mary was a Certified Nurse Assistant for St. Luke’s Nursing Center for six years. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Carthage.
Survivors include a daughter, Kimberly (Adam) Pennington, Golden City, Mo.; a son, Kade (Angelica) Sandlin, Clever, Mo.; three sisters, Doris (Rick) Charon, Stella, Mo., Lori Stirewalt, Crane, Mo., and Karen Lett, Neosho, Mo.; two brothers, David (Delores) Lett, Neosho, Mo., and Gary (Robyn) Lett, Anderson, Mo.; five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russ, and one brother, Lee Lett.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, in Park Cemetery, Carthage. Rev. Ed Hamilton, Victory Baptist Church, will officiate. Online condolences may be expressed through www.knellmortuary.com.
