Due to inclement weather, this year’s annual chili feed and silent auction will be held Friday, March 8th from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Carthage Senior High School commons area.
Chili supper tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. There are multiple items to bid on during the silent auction as well. All proceeds from this event will go towards helping sophomore students attend Washington Leadership Conference (WLC) this June in Washington D.C. The Carthage FFA has more than 10 students hoping to raise over $1,000 each to attend the conference.
Each year, FFA members from all over the United States travel to our nation’s capitol to attend WLC. During the five-day event, attendees learn how to become effective leaders by teaching them to know their purpose, value people, take action, and serve others. They leave WLC with the knowledge and the confidence to act in ways that help their schools, community, and their country.
