  • Jerry Lee Theil, 62, of Carthage, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013
    at his home.
    Jerry was born June 7, 1950 in Fort Collins, Colo. He was the son of Donald Theil and Barbara (LaRue) Theil. Jerry had been a resident of Jasper County area since 1977. He graduated from Rolla,Mo.,
    class of 1968 and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
    Jerry was co-owner of PAR, INC of Jasper and currently co-owner of
    Precision Mastermade Paints of Joplin. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and Eagles Lodge of both Lamar, V.F.W.Men’s Auxiliary Post 2590 of Carthage, Brotherhood Bikers Club and the First United Methodist Church of Jasper.
    Survivors include two sons; Ryan Theil and Kate of Godfrey, Ill., and
    Kyle Theil and Ashley of Godfrey, Ill., his mother; Barbara Theil of Carthage, one brother; Steve and Julie Theil of Jasper, six grandchildren; Addison, Austin, Devon, Dylan, Benjamin and Cory, one neice; Allison and husband, Wes Thomas of Junction City, Kan., and one nephew Matthew Theil of Jasper, one great-niece, Callie Thomas.
    Jerry was preceded in death by his father; Donald Theil in 1992.
    Memorial graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 at Oak Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent at www.ulmerfh.
