With the hospital down five doctors and a buyer, Seattle Grace slipped precariously into chaos during this week's Grey's Anatomy.
After the doctors quit their jobs, the rest of the Seattle Grace staff begin dropping like flies. Not only do a bunch of nurses and lab techs bid adios, but Bailey starts taking job interviews elsewhere, and even Jackson is wooed by Catherine Avery to possibly leave for greener pastures. In an attempt to save the hospital, Dr. Cahill desperately begged Pegasus to reconsider.
Meanwhile, Derek & Co. are attempting to find a buyer to partner with them while keeping it secret from the rest of the gang, though Webber and Jackson are quickly able to deduce what's happening. But that doesn't really matter since Cahill has brokered a deal with Pegasus where they will purchase the hospital and liquidate everything.
When the docs come thisclose to getting a Richard Branson-esque billionaire partner, he declines because there is no clear leader in the bunch. But even when they get Webber and Owen on board, the billionaire deal falls apart, leaving the board without a choice. In the eleventh hour, the Harper Avery foundation steps in to save the day, partnering with the docs. In a surprising move, however, Catherine Avery puts Jackson in charge. Surely, that won't sit right with everyone. Ruh-roh.
Are you surprised by the latest turn of events? Can Jackson handle the responsibility?
Grey's Anatomy airs Thursdays at 9/7c on ABC.
