Wilda Bayless, 84, lifetime resident of Carthage, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Mercy McCune Brooks Hospital in Carthage, Mo.
Wilda was born on Nov. 29, 1928 to Lola “Crowder” Turner and Ramson Turner in Goodman, Mo. She was a homemaker. Wilda was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She was a graduate of the Class of 1946 at Carthage High School.
Wilda married James Lorney Bayless on Sept. 12, 1948 in Carthage, Mo.. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 1987.
Wilda was survived by two sons, James Bayless and Michael Bayless; one daughter Adele Christine “Bayless” Kingsbury; one sister Georgia Oldfield, all of Carthage; five grandchildren Jennifer, Michael, Seth, Caleb, and Luke; and seven great grandchildren. Wilda is preceded by her parents and one brother James Elwood Turner.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at Hackney Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 at the Ulmer Funeral Home.
