Harris “Harry” Morton Moss Jr., 82, passed away in Grove, Okla.
Harry was born April 11, 1930 in Carthage, Mo., to Harris Morton Moss Sr. and Jonnie “Teague’ Moss. Harry served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. Harry worked at Juvenile Shoe in Mt. Vernon, Carnation Can in Mt. Vernon and Baxter Vault, Baxter Springs, Kan. He owned and operated Al’s Cigar store in Anderson, Mo., retiring from there in December of 2009.
Harry is survived by one son Mark Moss and wife Regina of Monett, Mo., one grandson Casey Moss and wife Tina, and one great-granddaughter Hannah Marie Moss, one brother Thomas P. Moss and wife Helen of Joplin, one sister Mrs. Paul Wampler of Carthage, Mo.
Harry is preceded by two sons Johnny Scott Moss, 2002, and Robby Gene Moss, 1983, two sisters June Adams, 2008, and Cleo Bowman, 1982.
Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at the Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Sarcoxie Cemetery, Sarcoxie, Mo.
