Esther G. Stout, 91, passed away at 10:05 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at home in Carthage.
Esther was born July 31, 1921 in Lockwood, Mo., she was the daughter of Walter Joeckel and Anna “Klushman” Joeckel. She was a longtime Carthage resident. Esther worked for H.E. Williams as a punch press operator for over 35 years. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Esther was united in marriage to Percy Stout on June 23, 1940 in Lockwood, Mo. He preceded her in death on Feb. 3, 1958.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Stout and his wife Anna May Stout of Carthage, one daughter, Karen Poulson of Carthage, one brother, Delbert Joeckel of Vince, Florida, two sisters, Elda Farmer of Carthage and Dorothy Brewer of Kansas, 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Esther was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne Stout in 2008 and Roy Stout in 1972, four brothers and five sisters and one granddaughter.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at the Ulmer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sylvania Cemetery northeast of Lamar.
