Andrew Johnson, 32, of Carthage passed away at 12:01 a.m. Friday Jan. 4, 2013.
Andrew was born March 11, 1980 in Tempe, Ariz. He had lived in Carthage for the past 15 years. Andrew was a welder at P.S.I. of Carthage. He was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Carthage.
Andrew is survived by his daughter Sierrah Johnson of Carthage,his mother and step-father, Barbara and Asa McSloy of Carthage, father and step-mother Steven and Vicki Johnson of Taylor, Az, three brothers, Rusty Johnson of Taylor, Ariz., Todd Johnson of Springville, Utah and Luke McSloy of Carthage, four step-brothers, Brian Petersen, Brendon Petersen, Christopher Peterson and Jacob Peterson all of Taylor, Ariz., two sisters, Heather Workes of Carthage and Lisa Hansen of Kearny, Ariz., paternal grandparents Peggy & Jack Johnson, with Jack preceding him in death, step paternal grandparents, James and Ila McSloy of Heber, Ariz., maternal grandparents, Clif and Noreen Johnson, with Noreen preceding him in death, and Clif and Arvella Johnson of Carthage.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Carthage. Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Emmanuel Cemetery, south of Carthage.
Contributions may be made to “Andrew Johnson” Memorial Fund at Southwest Missouri Bank for his daughter, Sierrah’s, education.
