Malissa E. Cordell-Crow, 71, went to be with the Lord Jan. 1, 2013 at her home after a long illness.
She was born June 2, 1941 to Rufus and Agnes Green of Neosho, Mo. She was the youngest of seven children. Malissa had three brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Crow resided in Neosho until she met Randall Cordell. They were married for 20 years and moved to Carthage, Mo., where they had four children together. He passed away in 1979 after a battle with cancer. Malissa worked at Schreiber Foods for 11 years and worked hard to care for her children and give them a good life, and spiritual foundation to live by. Several years later she met Curtis Crow, they were married for sixteen years when he passed away in 1999.
She is survived by her children, Laura and Ron Johnston of Grove, Randy and Pam Cordell of Warrenton, Mo., Dana and Tom Brown of Parker, Colo., and Joe and Wendy Cordell of Miami. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren that she cherished and loved very much. She was the strong rock that kept the family together. She is also survived by one brother Dan Green of Nixa, Missouri. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. at the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at the First Christian Church of Miami with Ministers Gary Reed and Jerad Joslin officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri under the direction of the Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami.
