Elizabeth Gail Carter passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 15, 2012 at Hospice House in Topeka, Kan.
Elizabeth (Liz) was born in Carthage, Mo., Oct. 24, 1956. She is the daughter of Paul Davis Carter and Dorothy Elizabeth Carter (both preceded her in death). She is survived by two brothers Paul Dana Carter and wife Janet of Topeka, Kan., and John Dale Carter and wife Rhonda of Carson City, Nev., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Elizabeth attended Hawthorn and Pleasant Valley Elementary Schools in Carthage, Mo. She also attended Carthage Junior and Senior High School and graduated from Missouri Southern in 1979 with a BA degree. Elizabeth worked at the 66 Drive In Theatre in Carthage before moving to Topeka, where she worked at the Dickinson Theatre, Jostens Yearbook and then began her career at Frito Lay.
She retired from Frito Lay after 31 years of employment as a Quality Control Tech.
Elizabeth will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at Park Cemetery in Carthage, Mo.
