Maryetta Hutchins, 87, Carthage, passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center, Sarcoxie, Mo.
Mary Louetta Garrison was born April 24, 1925 in Carthage, the daughter of Henry David Garrison and Nina Bell (Skelton) Garrison. She attended Carthage public schools and was a 1943 graduate of Carthage Senior High School. She married Milford C. Hutchins on November 1, 1946 in Columbus, Kan.; he preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 2006. Maryetta worked as a waitress for several years and was a nurse’s aide for Fair Acres Nursing Home, Carthage.
Survivors include five daughters; Connie (Roger) Record, Benton, Mo., Marjorie (Harold) Bossing, Springfield, Mo., Norma Jean (Ron) Hubler, Ash Grove, Mo., Judy Kay (Bill) Templeton, Carthage and Kathy (Tony) Lambeth, Carthage; three sons, Charles Clayton (Nelda) Hutchins, Marshfield, Mo., Loren Dale (Mabel) Hutchins, Carthage and Marion Lee (Carla) Hutchins, Carthage; 30 grandchildren, 63 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons; David Hawkins Hutchins and Charles Milford Hutchins; three brothers, Fred, Sherman and Marion Garrison and two sisters, Delma Robinson and Minnie Opal Myer.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m.-7 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 19 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 20 in the Knell Mortuary Chapel. Pastor Bob Morgan, Crossroads Baptist Church, Carthage, will officiate. Interment will be in Fidelity Cemetery, Fidelity, Mo. Memorial gifts are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
