Zella Marie Dame, 86, Carthage, Mo., was born May 15, 1926 in Avilla, Mo., and left this life on Dec. 11, 2012 at Carthage, Mo.
She was the daughter of the late Walter and Viva (Graham) Pennington.
Zella married Henry Clayton Manley on Aug. 15, 1943. Two sons were born to this union. Henry preceded her. She later married Norman Dame in July of 1972, and he also preceded her.
Zella was a homemaker and lived the majority of her life in Carthage. Most recently, she lived at St. Luke’s Nursing Center where she enjoyed playing bingo and helping the other residents. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Carthage for many years.
Besides her parents and her husbands, she was preceded by one sister, Norma Jean Collins; and by one brother, Leroy Pennington.
She is survived by her sons, Raymond Manley and his wife, Patricia of Shell Knob, Mo., and Dennis Manley, Joplin, Mo.; granddaughters, Tina Jason and husband, David, and Brenna Cargile and husband, Gene; great-grandsons, Nicholas Mizurny, Tyler Cargile, and Lane Cargile; three sisters, Icel Meister, Avilla, Mo., Woneta Tate, Hollister, Mo., and Erma Blackford and her husband, Donald, Lockwood, Mo.; one brother, Robert Youngblood and his wife, Glenda, Springfield, Mo.
Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 14, 2012 from 1–2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Carthage. Funeral services follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. John Davidson officiating. Interment will be in Red Oak Cemetery under direction of Knell Mortuary.
