This fall, James Cromwell has been committing unspeakably horrible acts against mental patients as ex-Nazi doc Arthur Arden on American Horror Story: Asylum. Now comes the news that Cromwell will don a white coat once again - hopefully to less lethal effect - on NBC's midseason drama Do No Harm.
Cromwell's character - a "renowned," but as yet unnamed, surgeon - will join Steven Pasquale's mysteriously afflicted brain doc Jason Cole (who turns into the Mr. Hyde-like Ian Price at the stroke of 9 each night) for an unspecified number of episodes.
Do No Harm premieres Thursday, Jan. 31 at 10/9c on NBC.
