Martha Bell Nutt, 85, Carthage, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 in the North Kansas City Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
Martha was born March 15, 1927 in Joplin, Mo., the daughter of Warren Richard Sowersby and Gracie Greer Clark Sowersby. She attended public schools in Joplin and Golden City, and she graduated from Golden City High School in 1945. She married James Nutt on July 19, 1945 in Columbus, Kan. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 1997.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
Martha was a homemaker and attended First Baptist Church in Carthage.
Survivors include two daughters, Gloria E. (Charles) Williams, Gladstone, Mo., and Marilyn Letsinger, Carthage, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012 in Park Cemetery, Carthage, Mo., under direction of Knell Mortuary, Carthage, Mo.
