Gary L. Gregg, 54, of Avilla passed away at 10:33 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Carthage Health and Rehab.
Gary was born March 23, 1958 in Branson, Mo., and grew up in Stockton, Mo. He was the son of David Gregg and Wanda Barnes “Cook” Gregg.
Gary has resided in Avilla for the past 16 years. He was employed at Butterball in the Maintenance Department for 20 years. Gary enjoyed stock car racing and motorcycle riding with friends.
Gary was united in marriage to Becky Taylor in Miami, Oklahoma. She survives.
Other survivors include his mother, Wanda Barnes of Republic, Mo., one son Chase Levi Gregg of Carthage, Mo., and one daughter Ashtyn LeeAnn Gregg of the home and three brothers, Roger Gregg and wife Carla of Wichita, Kan., Michael Gregg of Republic, Mo., and Joel Gregg of Kimberling City, Mo. Gary was preceded in death by his father, David Gregg and one brother, Paul Gregg.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012 at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012.
Burial will be in Lone Elm Cemetery in Columbus, Kansas.
