Loeda Cochran, age 92, of LaRussell, Mo., passed away at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, Sept., 15, 2012, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood, Mo.
She was born Feb. 12, 1920, in rural Lawrence County, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Miller) Fieker. Loeda was a longtime resident of Lawrence County and was a member of the Fellowship and Blake Baptist Churches. She was a typical farm wife and homemaker, and even a member of the Happy Homemakers Club.
On Nov. 19, 1938 she married Perry Cochran in Mt. Vernon. He preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 2006. Her parents and brother, Raymond Fieker and sister, Elsie Chorum also preceded her in death.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two sons, Don Cochran and his wife, Sue, of Lockwood and Dennis Cochran and his wife, Marsha, of LaRussell; one brother, Howard Fieker of Sapulpa, Okla.; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home with visitation from 1 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at the Miller Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Blake Baptist Church in care of the funeral home.
