Douglas Freeman Replogle, 76, Carthage, Mo., passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at his home following a brief illness.
Douglas was born April 20, 1936 in Carthage, Mo., to the late Byron and Ruby Lavera (Freeman) Replogle. He grew up there and later attended the University of Missouri where he received his degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was an engineer most of his life and had lived in Carthage since 2005.
Douglas was always interested in politics and stayed on top of the latest news. He served on the board of the Overland Park, Kansas Planning Commission for many years, and later served on the Carthage Tree Board.
He is survived by two daughters, Brooke High and her husband, William, of Lenexa, Kan., and Laura Amundson and her husband, Eric, of Shawnee, Kan.; one brother, Stephen Replogle of Jonesboro, Ark.; seven grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
