  • Pamela Lassiter, 60, passed away Aug. 27, 2012 at 10:04 a.m. at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Mo.  
    Pam was born on Jan. 22, 1952 in Carthage, Mo., to Paul C. Lee and Yvonne “Sanders” Lee. She was a long time resident of Carthage and graduated from Carthage High School in 1969. Pam worked in the family business in the “Plaster Shop” in her earlier years. She was also a self-employed taxidermist and worked for the past 18 years at the Maple Tree Assisted Living Center as a beautician. Pam loved playing guitar, going to the lake, her horses, and especially enjoyed her time spent with her clients. She was a member of the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 2590 Carthage. Pam loved to dance and  her family and many friends. Her favorite two quotes were “You’re done, don’t you look beautiful,” and “Don’t worry, be happy.”
    Pam is survived by her mother Yvonne Lee of Carthage; one son Corey Lassiter and wife Lori of Jasper, Mo.; three step-sons Bryce Lassiter and wife Mitze of Waco, Mo., Bill Lassiter and wife Jennie of Oronogo, Mo., and Brett Lassiter and wife Barbara of Alba, Mo.; one brother Randall Lee and wife Carol, one sister Linda Rush and husband Tom both of Carthage; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father Paul Lee on July 29, 1992 and one sister Carla Joy Lee in March of 1957.
    Memorial services will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.ulmerfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home.
