Norma Jean Ranger, 83, Miami, Okla.. passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Freeman West Hospital, Joplin, Mo.
Norma Jean Skyles was born Feb. 5, 1929 in Carthage, Mo.; the daughter of the late Edward Skyles and Elizabeth Sellers Skyles. She was a graduate of Carthage High School, Class of 1947, and was a certified dental hygienist.
She worked for dental offices in Carthage and Tulsa, Okla. She was a Presbyterian by faith. She married Leonard Neil Ranger in 1957; he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two sons; Warren (Danetta) Ranger, Afton, Okla. and Jay Ranger, Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters; Dorothy Mahy, Francis Shrewsbury and Evelyn Neely; one brother; John Skyles.
Visitation will be held from 6p.m. – 7 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, at Knell Mortuary, Carthage. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 14 in Park Cemetery, Carthage. Rev. Ron Franklin will officiate.
